Dr. Sneha Poochiriyan

Ms. Sneha Poochiriyan is an experienced audiologist in the ENT department at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah, with 8 years of clinical practice across India and the UAE. She holds a Master's degree in Audiology and a Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, along with an International Vestibular Diploma. She began her career at the All India Institute of Speech & Hearing in India, then worked as an Assistant Professor at Mar Thoma College of Special Education before relocating to the UAE, where she has practiced at Sheikh Khalifa Speciality Hospital in Ras Al-Khaimah and now at Medcare Hospital.

Ms. Poochiriyan provides comprehensive assessment and management of hearing loss, balance problems, and auditory processing disorders in children and adults. Her expertise includes hearing aid fitting, cochlear implant candidacy evaluation, advanced balance testing (including specialized tests like VEMP, VNG, and caloric testing), vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and dizziness, and tinnitus assessment with Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. She is also skilled in electrophysiological testing such as Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) to support accurate diagnosis.

Ms. Poochiriyan is actively involved in academic teaching and research, regularly lecturing and organizing seminars. She is a registered member of the Rehabilitation Council of India and active in the Indian Speech and Hearing Association. She is passionate about patient-centered care and brings a thorough, evidence-based approach to managing hearing and balance conditions across all ages.
