Dr. Annett Al Hamadi

Dr. Annett Al-Hamadi is a breast surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience, specialising in breast cancer treatment and oncoplastic surgery (combining cancer safety with aesthetic reconstruction). A German Board-certified General Surgeon and European Board-certified Breast Surgeon, she has been at Mediclinic City Hospital since 2008, where she played a key role in establishing and developing the hospital's Breast Center into a leading multidisciplinary unit in the region. She led the centre's successful accreditation by the Joint Commission International (JCI).

Dr. Al-Hamadi's surgical expertise covers the full range of oncoplastic breast work: breast-conserving procedures (removing cancer while preserving the breast), reshaping techniques, and breast reconstruction after mastectomy. She trained at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany and completed advanced oncoplastic fellowship training at the Breast Centre Zurich in Switzerland. Before moving to Dubai in 2006, she worked as a consultant general surgeon in Germany.

Her approach centres on oncological safety (ensuring cancer is completely removed), aesthetic balance, and personalised treatment planning. She advocates strongly for multidisciplinary team care, working closely with colleagues to coordinate each patient's journey. She is actively involved in clinical research, teaching, and national oncology meetings, and is known for her patient-centred philosophy and clear communication.
