Dr. Roopa R Shinde

Dr. Roopa R is a fetal medicine specialist with extensive experience managing fetal medicine units. She obtained her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from JSS Medical College in Karnataka, India, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Fetal Medicine plus a diploma in prenatal invasive procedures from the Ian Donald School of Medical Ultrasound at Micro Cetimco Hospital in Italy. She has practised as a specialist in fetal medicine in Dubai and Chennai.

Dr. Roopa specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for expecting mothers. She performs nuchal translucency scans (NT scans), anomaly scans, growth and fetal Doppler studies, 3D and 4D ultrasounds, prenatal invasive procedures, and fetal heart imaging. She is particularly experienced in managing abnormal findings in both single and multiple pregnancies, as well as cases of poor fetal growth.

She is a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ISUOG) and has served as faculty in the ISUOG basic training program. Dr. Roopa has taught at various international and national conferences in fetal medicine and has multiple publications.
