Dr. Sundarrajan Santhanam

Dr. Sundarrajan Santhanam is a consultant ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience. He completed his MBBS and MS in ENT and Head-Neck Surgery at JIPMER, Pondicherry in 2000, where he subsequently worked as an assistant professor. He then progressed through roles at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences and spent 17 years at NMC Specialty Hospital Dubai, where he established and led the ENT department, building expertise across a broad range of surgical and therapeutic procedures.

Dr. Santhanam specialises in endoscopic sinus surgery, micro ear surgery (including mastoid procedures and hearing improvement techniques), and paediatric ENT care. He performs adenoid and tonsil removals, grommet insertions for ear drainage, and foreign body removal from the nose, throat, and airways—including complex airway cases. He also routinely conducts diagnostic procedures such as nasal endoscopy and laryngoscopy. His commitment to staying current is evident through regular attendance at workshops and conferences, and he has delivered numerous continuing medical education lectures to the medical community.
