Dr. Teresa Diago Uso

Dr. Teresa Diago Uso is a Staff Physician in the Abdominal Transplant Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Digestive Disease Institute, bringing more than 24 years of clinical experience in transplant surgery. She trained in Spain and Italy before pursuing advanced fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where she completed specialized training in liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and multi-organ abdominal transplantation through the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. Prior to relocating to Abu Dhabi, she served as Staff Physician and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Ohio.

Dr. Diago Uso's clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of liver disease and transplantation, including living donor liver transplants, liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), benign and malignant liver lesions, and post-transplant patient management. She has completed more than 1,000 operations and specializes in complex colorectal metastasis cases and hepatobiliary oncology. Her approach combines technical precision with comprehensive care of transplant patients before and after surgery.
