Dr. Isam Taha

Dr. Isam Taha is a consultant pediatric surgeon with over 26 years of experience treating children with surgical conditions. He trained at the University of Gezira in Sudan, obtained a clinical MD in general surgery, and completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery through the Sudan Medical Specialization Board, followed by a diploma in pediatric surgery from Taiwan. He previously served as head of the pediatric surgery department at Al Ribat University Hospital in Khartoum and has worked as a consultant in several institutions across the Middle East and beyond.

Dr. Taha specializes in a broad range of pediatric surgical conditions, from congenital abnormalities (birth defects) to trauma and complex cases. He is particularly known for his expertise in hypospadias repair (a common birth defect of the urethra) and has extensive experience with rare conditions such as conjoined twin separation—in 2022, he led the surgical team that successfully separated two sets of conjoined twins. He is an active clinical researcher with multiple peer-reviewed publications in international surgical journals.

He is a fluent communicator in both Arabic and English, making him accessible to diverse families.
