About Dr. Mahavir S Deshmane
Dr. Mahavir S Deshmane is a Specialist Urologist at Aster Hospitals Dubai, with training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic urology. He completed his senior residency in urology at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai (2007–2009), and was awarded the prestigious WZUSICON Travelling Fellowship in 2009, which he used to train at AIIMS New Delhi and Tata Memorial Hospital in minimally invasive urological techniques.
Dr. Deshmane treats a wide range of urological conditions across adults and children. His main areas of focus include kidney and bladder stones using endoscopic techniques, shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL), and laser stone removal. He performs laparoscopic prostate procedures, manages male impotence and infertility, and treats urological cancers. He also specializes in bladder disorders including neurogenic bladder and overactive bladder, female continence problems, and congenital urological anomalies in children.
He is an active member of international and regional urology societies, including the European Association of Urology and the Emirates Society of Urology, and brings experience from multiple private hospitals in India before joining Aster Dubai.
