Dr. Arindam Ghosh

Dr. Arindam Ghosh is a Senior Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon and General Surgeon with over 20 years of specialised experience in complex digestive and laparoscopic surgery. He trained at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata and completed his specialist qualifications in gastroenterology surgery at G.B. Pant Hospital in New Delhi. His career includes senior leadership roles in India, where he headed the Surgical Gastroenterology department at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital and later served as Head of GI & Hepatobiliary Surgery at SPS Apollo Hospitals.

Dr. Ghosh has performed over 12,000 advanced laparoscopic digestive surgeries, including more than 300 pancreatic Whipple procedures, over 150 stomach and oesophagus resections, and more than 1500 colorectal operations. He has also completed over 1500 weight-loss surgeries. He was among the first in the UAE to receive a consultant licence in gastrointestinal surgery and is a certified robotic surgeon and regional pioneer in robotic digestive surgery across the Middle East and North Africa.

Dr. Ghosh specialises in minimally invasive techniques for complex conditions including cancer surgery (liver, stomach, pancreas, colon and bile duct), weight-loss surgery, hernias, and perianal diseases. His clinical interests focus on advanced laparoscopic and robotic approaches, peritoneal cancer treatment, and complex hernia management. He is well suited for patients requiring intricate digestive surgery or seeking keyhole and robotic surgery options.
