Dr. Ali Dameh

Dr. Ali Dameh is Chief of Surgical Services and Associate Professor of Surgery at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, with training from Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He specialises in thoracic surgery (lung and chest), upper gastrointestinal surgery (stomach and oesophagus), and surgical oncology, treating complex cancer cases involving the liver, adrenal glands and soft tissues across the UAE.

Dr. Dameh provides both traditional open surgery and minimally invasive keyhole and robotic techniques across a wide range of conditions. His expertise spans hernia repair (femoral, inguinal, umbilical and incisional), gallbladder and bile duct problems, stomach and bowel tumours, colorectal conditions including cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid and endocrine surgery, breast cancer, weight-loss surgery, and skin cancer. He also manages benign conditions such as acid reflux, haemorrhoids, anal fissures and excessive sweating.

Dr. Dameh is passionate about surgical education and actively participates in national scientific presentations and conferences. He is known for providing compassionate care to cancer patients and was recognised with the Dubai Healthcare City Distinguished Excellence Physician Award in 2019 for his contribution to advancing complex surgical services in the region.
