Dr. Jeevan Kumar Mahaveer

Dr. Jeevan Kumar Mahaveer is an Interventional Radiologist based at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi, with dual certification in Clinical and Interventional Radiology. He trained in India and then moved to the UK, where he spent over 14 years working within the NHS. His specialist training took place at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, one of the UK's leading teaching hospitals, and he rose to become a Consultant in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he also led specialist training in the field.

Dr. Mahaveer has extensive experience performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across vascular, non-vascular, and cancer-related cases. These range from fibroid and tumour embolisation (blocking blood flow to shrink unwanted tissue) to angioplasty and stenting of arteries and veins, endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, and drainage or biopsy procedures. He also performs kidney and biliary (bile duct) interventions, as well as treatment of vascular malformations.
