Dr. Sona Chaturvedi

Dr. Sona Chaturvedi is a Specialist Anesthesiologist with 24 years of clinical experience providing anesthesia care across all age groups. She trained at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Sewagram, India, where she earned her MBBS and MD in Anesthesia, and later completed a Graduate Diploma in Health Professionals Education from Gulf Medical University in Ajman. Her career spans India, Bahrain, and the UAE, including roles at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute, International Hospital of Bahrain, and Thumbay Hospital before joining Burjeel Specialty Hospital in Sharjah.

Dr. Chaturvedi provides comprehensive anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, eye surgery, ENT, pediatric surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and plastic and reconstructive procedures. She is skilled in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, moderate and deep sedation, and monitored anesthesia care. She also offers pain relief during labor using epidural analgesia and manages the critically ill with advanced ventilatory support.

Dr. Chaturvedi conducts complete pre-anesthesia assessments, intra-operative monitoring, and post-operative care for all patients. She is experienced in delivering anesthesia and sedation in challenging environments such as MRI rooms, endoscopy suites, CT scan rooms, and catheterization laboratories. She is a certified American Heart Association instructor and provider in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
