Dr. Mohit Jain

Dr Mohit Jain is a consultant ophthalmologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He completed his residency and specialist training in retina and uveitis at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, followed by an international fellowship at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He further developed expertise in complex eye inflammation and immune-related eye conditions at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution in Boston. He now practises at NMC Healthcare in Sharjah.

Dr Jain specializes in advanced cataract surgery using cutting-edge laser techniques, including femtosecond laser-assisted procedures and premium lens options (multifocal, toric, and extended-focus lenses). He is particularly skilled in complex retinal conditions including retinal detachment, tears, vitreous haemorrhage, and macular holes. He also treats eye inflammation (uveitis), retinopathy of prematurity in newborns, glaucoma, and corneal conditions like keratoconus and pterygium.

He combines surgical and medical approaches to eye care, offering both laser treatments and injections for retinal disease, as well as vision-correction procedures including LASIK and corneal cross-linking. He is a good fit for patients requiring specialist retinal surgery, complex cataract procedures with premium lenses, or management of inflammatory eye conditions.
