Dr. Sunil Kumar Sanka

Dr Sunil Kumar Sanka is a Consultant Paediatrician at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, with extensive training across the UK's leading teaching hospitals. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at NTR University of Health Sciences in India in 2001, then trained in paediatrics across the NHS, including at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge, Royal London Hospital, Kings College Hospital London, and Manchester Children's Hospital. He received his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2012 and holds both the Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (since 2004) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (since 2006).

Dr Sanka manages the full range of acute and chronic childhood illnesses—from fever and common infections to asthma, digestive problems, allergies, and developmental concerns. He has particular expertise in paediatric cardiology, including assessment of children with heart murmurs, fainting, chest pain, and congenital heart disease. He holds a specialist certification in congenital heart disease echocardiography from the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and has worked in paediatric and neonatal intensive care.
