Dr. Radwan Sawas

Dr. Radwan Sawas is a Specialist Ophthalmologist at Zulekha Hospital in Sharjah with more than 17 years of clinical experience. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, and completed his postgraduate medical training at Aleppo University. His career has spanned the Middle East, beginning at Magrabi Eye Hospitals in Jeddah and Dammam as a Specialist Ophthalmologist for 8 years, where he was later upgraded to Associate Consultant in the Vitreoretinal Unit.

Dr. Sawas specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, diabetic retinopathy, cataract surgery, corneal and anterior segment procedures, refractive surgery including Femto LASIK, and advanced laser treatments. He held the position of Head of the Retinal Department at Aleppo Eye Specialty Hospital in 2008 and subsequently worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Future Hospital in Aleppo and Ain Al Khaleej Hospital in Al Ain. His expertise covers both front and back segments of the eye, including phacoemulsification (keyhole cataract surgery) and pars plana vitrectomy (vitreous removal).
