Dr. Briji Sobhana Panicker

Dr. Briji Sobhana Panicker is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with 16 years of clinical experience. She trained at Govt. Medical College Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India, and completed advanced laparoscopy training at World Laparoscopy Hospital in Gurgaon. Before joining Medeor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, she spent a decade as an associate professor and postgraduate teacher at a prestigious medical college in Kerala, where she mentored junior doctors and conducted clinical research.

Dr. Panicker is skilled in both open and keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, and manages pregnancies across the full spectrum—from routine low-risk cases to complex high-risk situations. Her keyhole expertise covers removal of fibroids and ovarian cysts, infertility treatment, endometriosis management, and emergency ectopic pregnancy surgery. She is equally proficient in open procedures and obstetric care, including caesarean sections, vaginal deliveries (including breech and instrumental deliveries), and management of complications such as post-partum haemorrhage.
