Dr. Syed Sakib Nazir

Dr. Syed Sakib Nazir is an interventional cardiologist with 28 years of clinical experience, including over 17 years of specialist training and practice in the UK. He trained in interventional cardiology at the Yorkshire Heart Centre at Leeds General Infirmary and worked as a consultant interventional cardiologist in West Yorkshire before relocating to Dubai. Since joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai in 2013, he has been instrumental in developing the cardiac department into a leading regional provider.

Dr. Nazir is an expert in coronary angioplasty, intracoronary imaging, and advanced device implantation including pacemakers, heart failure devices (ICD and CRT), and loop recorders. He also performs non-invasive imaging including cardiac ultrasound (both standard and trans-oesophageal), stress testing, and cardiac CT reporting. His clinical focus spans coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disturbances, heart failure, valve disease, and cardiac complications in patients with diabetes and kidney disease.

He is well suited for patients requiring complex coronary intervention, device implantation, or comprehensive cardiac imaging and assessment, particularly those with multiple complicating conditions.
