Dr. Maggie Jacob

Dr. Maggie Jacob is Head of the ENT Department at NMC Medical Centre, Buhairah Corniche, Abu Dhabi, where she has worked for 16 years. With over 28 years of clinical experience, she is a specialist ear, nose and throat surgeon trained in India with advanced qualifications including a master's degree in ENT. She completed her medical degree and diploma in otolaryngology from Government Medical College, Kottayam, Kerala, followed by her master's degree from G.R. Government Medical College, Gwalior, in 1992. She also trained in ear microsurgery at Jubilee Medical College Hospital and completed a fellowship in functional endoscopic sinus surgery (a minimally invasive technique for sinus problems) at M.C.V. Memorial Hospital, Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Jacob treats the full range of ENT conditions and performs both major and minor surgical procedures, including delicate microsurgeries of the ear. Her main areas of focus are otology (ear disorders), rhinology (nose and sinus conditions), and head and neck surgery. She is experienced in functional endoscopic sinus surgery, a technique using small cameras to treat chronic sinusitis and related problems without open surgery. Before joining NMC Healthcare, she led the ENT department at St. Thomas Mission Hospital in Kerala, a 200-bed hospital, where she built extensive experience in complex surgical cases.

Dr. Jacob speaks six languages—English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, and Tamil—allowing her to communicate comfortably with patients from diverse backgrounds. She stays current with international developments in otolaryngology through participation in local and international medical conferences and is a member of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India and the Association of Otolaryngologists of Kerala.
