Dr. Shorouk Zaky Abdelshafy

Dr. Shorouk Zaky Abdelshafy is a consultant breast radiologist with 14 years of experience in breast imaging and interventions. She trained at Benha University in Egypt, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree, followed by a Master's degree and Medical Doctorate in Diagnostic and Intervention Radiology. She has worked in Egypt and Oman before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Abdelshafy has extensive practical experience across all modern breast imaging techniques: mammography (both screening and diagnostic), 3D breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography), contrast-enhanced mammography, high-resolution ultrasound, and breast MRI. She also performs breast interventions including biopsies, localization procedures, and clip insertion. She is one of the founders and board members of the Egyptian Society of Breast Imaging (EGSBI), reflecting her standing in the field.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Abdelshafy is committed to education and public health. She moderates lectures and workshops for other healthcare professionals, and has led public awareness campaigns focused on breast cancer prevention and early detection.
