About Dr. Deepu Alex Thomas
Dr. Deepu Alex Thomas is a Consultant Radiologist with over a decade of experience and double fellowships from the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He holds active consultant radiologist licenses in five countries: Australia, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and India. Before joining Mediclinic Abu Dhabi in 2012, he worked as an Assistant Professor at one of South India's largest teaching hospitals.
Dr. Thomas specializes in musculoskeletal imaging, including advanced MRI techniques, ultrasound-guided and CT-guided joint injections for pain relief, and cardiac imaging. He holds Level II certification in Cardiac CT from the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the Conjoint Committee for Cardiac CT (Australia). His clinical practice encompasses advanced MRI imaging, including specialized prostate MRI and MR spectroscopy. He maintains an active academic interest and has published multiple papers in international journals.
He is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America and the European Society of Radiology. Dr. Thomas also works part-time as a locum radiologist in Australia and New Zealand, bringing international imaging expertise to his practice at Mediclinic.
