Dr. Mohammed Masuood Irfan

Dr. Mohammed Masuood Irfan is a Specialist Neurosurgeon at NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, with 8 years of clinical experience. He completed his MBBS at Al Ameen Medical College in India and underwent a rigorous 6-year Arab Board Neurosurgical Residency at Hamad Medical General Hospital in Qatar. He holds certifications from the Arab Board and Jordanian Board in Neurosurgery, as well as fellowships in skull base surgery and spine specialization.

Dr. Irfan's practice focuses on complex brain and spine conditions using both traditional and advanced minimally invasive techniques. He performs keyhole spine surgery (cervical and lumbar approaches), surgery for brain tumours and skull base lesions, paediatric neurosurgery including hydrocephalus shunt placement, and spine fusion for degenerative and traumatic injuries. He also treats chronic back and neck pain with image-guided injections, avoiding surgery where possible.

He brings international teaching experience from King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia, where he trained residents and examined medical students.
