Prof. Mohamed Abdelhafez

Prof. Mohamed Abdelhafez is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with 19 years of experience, trained in Germany to the highest standards. He holds a Doctoral Degree in Gastroenterology and is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Munich. He previously served as Head of the Endoscopy Department at the Technical University of Munich's Klinikum rechts der Isar, and currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Medicine at the university.

Dr. Abdelhafez has performed over 30,000 endoscopies and specializes in advanced techniques including ESD (endoscopic submucosal dissection — removing growths from the stomach lining), POEM (a procedure to treat swallowing disorders), and ERCP (treating bile duct and pancreas problems). He also offers interventional ultrasound endoscopy and endoscopic bypass procedures.
