Dr. Amro Kabakbjy

Dr. Amro Kabakbjy is a specialist interventional radiologist with nearly 20 years of experience in image-guided procedures. He holds an MSc and PhD in Diagnostic Radiology from Aleppo University in Syria, and completed fellowship training in interventional radiology at King Hussein Medical Centre in Amman, Jordan. He spent 10 years practising as a specialist interventional radiologist in Syria before relocating to the UAE, where he worked at Rashid Hospital for 3 years performing over 700 cases before joining Saudi German Hospital Dubai.

Dr. Kabakbjy specialises in minimally invasive treatments using imaging guidance to reach and treat problems inside the body without large incisions. His expertise spans the full range of interventional radiology, including treatment of brain aneurysms (coiling), uncontrolled abdominal and trauma-related bleeding, and uterine fibroids. These procedures allow him to address serious conditions through keyhole techniques, reducing recovery time and hospital stays compared to traditional surgery.

He is an active member of the academic affairs committee for CIRSE (the European Society of Interventional Radiology) and PAIRS (the Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society), reflecting his commitment to advancing the field. His extensive experience and fellowship training make him well suited to patients requiring complex, image-guided interventional treatments.
