Dr. Mohammad Jawad Naushahi

Dr. Mohammad Jawad Naushahi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital with extensive training across the UK and Australia. After graduating from the University of Nottingham, he completed core surgical training at leading centres including Edinburgh, Oxford and London, followed by a PhD in functional neurosurgery (deep brain stimulation) from Imperial College London. He then undertook higher surgical training in neurosurgery at Cambridge, where he ranked first nationally and became the first Muslim to achieve this distinction. He further completed a prestigious fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery in Australia before taking consultant posts at Cambridge, Suffolk and Bahrain.

Dr. Naushahi's clinical practice covers both adult and paediatric neurosurgery across cranial and spinal conditions, with particular expertise in functional procedures such as deep brain stimulation and spinal cord stimulation, minimally invasive spine surgery, brain tumours, and neurosurgical trauma. He brings a strong evidence-based approach and is actively involved as Chief Investigator for the BT4BT Trial in the UK.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Naushahi is a dedicated educator and mentor. He has served as faculty on degree and fellowship examination courses, holds positions as Clinical Supervisor with Cambridge Clinical School, and mentors UK and international medical students. He also contributes to surgical standards through roles with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, including quality assurance assessment and advisory appointments.
