Dr. Tahir Mirza

Dr. Tahir Mirza is a UK-trained consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 10 years of experience. He studied medicine and dentistry at King's College London, then completed advanced training in ear, nose and throat surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery. He holds a UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in oral and maxillofacial surgery (FRCS OMFS). He has trained with leading experts in Europe, the USA, and Taiwan in specialized areas including complex reconstruction using patient's own tissue grafts, jaw realignment surgery, and sleep apnea surgery.

Dr. Mirza has worked at major UK hospitals for over a decade before joining Burjeel Holdings in the Middle East. He treats a broad range of head and neck conditions, including mouth and salivary gland cancers (often requiring microsurgical reconstruction), facial injuries, and jaw deformities. He performs complex tooth extractions, removes cysts and benign tumours of the mouth, and places dental implants. He is also experienced in bone grafting procedures to rebuild the jaw and sinuses.

He remains actively engaged in education, having completed a postgraduate diploma in clinical education and teaching national and regional surgical courses. He is well-published, co-authored a chapter in an international textbook, and reviews papers for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He regularly attends international conferences to stay current with advances in his field.
