Dr. Faisal Al Zidgali

Dr. Faisal Al Zidgali is a Consultant Neonatologist and Chair of the Neonatology Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, where he also leads the Women and Children Centre. He trained at Glasgow University Medical School in the UK and completed further paediatric and neonatal training across the UK. With 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Al Zidgali spent 10 years as a Consultant Neonatologist and Clinical Lead at the University Hospital of South Manchester before relocating to Abu Dhabi, joining Corniche Hospital in 2013.

Dr. Al Zidgali manages the full spectrum of newborn care, with particular expertise in neonatal medical and surgical intensive care. He is actively involved in setting standards and training across the Gulf region, serving as a neonatal licensing examiner for the UAE Department of Health and a Tasneef auditor for the Department of Health's Maternity and Neonatology Peer Review Group. He is also a member of the SEHA Neonatology Service Line Council, where he influences neonatal policy and practice at a national level.
