Dr. Wael Dahhan

Dr. Wael Dahhan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at King's College Hospital London in Dubai, with 20 years of clinical experience across the USA and UAE. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University in Connecticut, followed by advanced fellowship training in interventional endoscopy at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Harvard University) in Boston. After practising in Michigan for five years, he relocated to Dubai where he has built a strong reputation in gastroenterology and hepatology over the past 15 years.

Dr. Dahhan treats both common digestive disorders and complex gastrointestinal conditions. He is one of the few consultants in the Middle East with formal fellowship training in liver diseases. His expertise spans routine and advanced endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP (pancreatic and bile duct intervention), capsule endoscopy, oesophageal pH and motility studies, enteroscopy, and liver biopsy. He also offers newer endoscopic approaches for obesity management, including endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty and gastric balloon placement, plus emerging non-surgical options for chronic acid reflux.

Dr. Dahhan is American Board Certified in Gastroenterology, a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and an active member of leading professional associations. He is a frequent speaker at national and international medical conferences and is fluent in English and Arabic.
