Dr. Ihab Jizi

Dr. Ihab Jizi is a Consultant Pulmonologist at Emirates Hospital Jumeirah with over 41 years of clinical experience in respiratory medicine. He trained at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where he earned his medical degree in 1984 and completed both his internal medicine residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles, including Head of the Pulmonary & Critical Care Unit at respected hospitals in Lebanon.

Dr. Jizi manages a broad spectrum of lung and breathing conditions, with particular expertise in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma in both adults and children, sleep-related breathing disorders, and interstitial lung disease. His practice includes specialized pulmonary function testing—such as spirometry, lung volume measurement, and diffusion capacity assessment—as well as diagnosis and treatment of infectious lung diseases like pneumonia. He combines clinical care with ongoing involvement in research and education.

He is fluent in English and Arabic and holds active membership in the Lebanese Order of Physicians, Lebanese Pulmonary Society, and Lebanese Society of Critical Care. Dr. Jizi's approach emphasizes improving respiratory health outcomes through evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
