Dr. Salma B.A Abdo is a highly experienced endodontist and cosmetic dentist with over 28 years of clinical practice across Jordan, the UK, and the UAE. She holds a PhD in Conservative Dentistry–Endodontics from USM University (2013) and is American Board Certified in Laser Surgery in Dentistry. She currently practices at Mediclinic Al Ain and is recognized internationally as a speaker and published researcher in endodontics and dental laser techniques.
Dr. Salma specializes in root canal treatment, including complex cases and re-treatment using advanced microscope technology and ultrasonic instruments. She was the first specialist in the UAE to perform pulp revascularization using platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and she performs microsurgical root-tip removal (apicoectomy) with bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration. Beyond endodontics, she offers cosmetic treatments including tooth whitening, laser gum contouring, implant placement with bone grafting, and full-mouth dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia for patients with special needs and children over 10 years old.
Dr. Salma was previously Head of Endodontics at Tawam Dental Centre in Al Ain for over 11 years and held a teaching role at Ajman University. She was awarded first prize in dentistry at the 2011 FDI (World Dental Federation) congress, reflecting her contributions to the field.
