Dr. Carla Hajj

Dr. Carla Hajj is a Staff Physician in the Radiation Oncology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Cancer Institute. She is a board-certified radiation oncologist with 14 years of experience treating a wide variety of cancers. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, she spent eight years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she was an Assistant Attending and led the proton radiation therapy program for gastrointestinal and blood cancers at the New York Proton Center.

Dr. Hajj treats patients using the most advanced radiation techniques available, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery and body radiation (SRS/SBRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), proton therapy, and MRI-guided radiation therapy. Her clinical research focuses on blood cancers and gastrointestinal tumours, with particular interest in investigating new treatment combinations and technologies to improve outcomes and quality of life. She has been a principal investigator on multiple clinical trials and has received several research awards.

Dr. Hajj is deeply committed to preserving patients' quality of life after cancer treatment, not just curing the disease itself. She prioritizes clear communication with patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and concerns, and works closely with a multidisciplinary team including medical and surgical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to optimize care.
