Dr. Abhilasha Maheshwari

Dr. Abhilasha Maheshwari is an ophthalmologist with 10 years of experience, specializing in oculoplastic surgery (eyelid procedures) and ocular oncology (eye and orbit tumours). She trained in India at the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, then completed advanced fellowships in oculoplastic surgery and ocular oncology at Centre for Sight in Hyderabad, and in ocular oncology at The New York Eye Cancer Center in New York. She now practises at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi, where she brings international training and a research-active approach to complex eye cases.

Dr. Maheshwari has performed over 1,000 oculoplastic and ocular oncology procedures. Her work includes eyelid surgeries (blepharoplasty, ptosis correction, tear-duct reconstruction), eye removal when necessary, socket reconstruction, and the comprehensive management of eye and orbital tumours. She works within multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes in complex cases, combining surgical precision with collaborative care.
