Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Khan

Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Khan is a Consultant Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon at NMC Healthcare in Al Ain with 16 years of experience in general and keyhole surgery. He completed his FCPS from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999 and his FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000, followed by specialist training in liver and pancreas surgery at Sri Ganga Ram Hospital in India and advanced laparoscopic techniques in India and France.

Dr. Khan specializes in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery across a wide range of conditions including gastrointestinal disorders, liver and pancreas disease, colorectal conditions, cancer, and breast surgery. He has particular expertise in advanced laparoscopic techniques, bariatric (weight-loss) surgery, and metabolic procedures. Before joining NMC Healthcare, he was an Associate Professor of Surgery at Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital in Dhaka.

He is actively involved in research and has published numerous articles in national and international journals. Dr. Khan is a life member of the Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh and the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Bangladesh, and holds membership with the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders. He regularly attends and organizes educational courses and workshops on minimally invasive surgical techniques.
