Dr. Mhd Adel Al Abed

Dr. Mhd Adel Al Abed is a Consultant General Radiologist at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over 10 years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging. He holds an MBBS from Damascus University and is certified by the German Board in Radiology (2022). Dr. Al Abed is fluent in English and German and maintains active membership in the German Medical Association, German Society of Radiology, European Society of Radiology, and European Society of Neuroradiology.

His expertise encompasses neuroradiology, emergency radiology, abdominal and oncologic imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, vascular imaging, prostate MRI, and interventional radiology. He is proficient across MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, and performs CT-guided interventions including biopsies and pain-management procedures. Dr. Al Abed has completed advanced training through the European Course in Neuroradiology (modules 2–4) and holds certification in Q1 Prostate MRI (multiparametric).

Since becoming a consultant in 2022, Dr. Al Abed has held leadership roles optimizing diagnostic workflows, implementing advanced imaging technologies, and mentoring junior radiologists. He takes a methodical, patient-centered approach focused on diagnostic accuracy and evidence-based care, working collaboratively across clinical disciplines to support treatment planning.
