Dr. Jaya Ramakumaran

Dr. Jaya Ramakumaran is a general practitioner and emergency physician with over 25 years of clinical experience across general practice, ophthalmology, and emergency medicine. She trained at Medical College Trivandrum under the University of Kerala, where she completed her MBBS, and went on to specialize in ophthalmology with a diploma from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Her early career included teaching pathology and working as an insurance medical officer in Kerala before relocating to the UAE in 2000.

Since moving to the UAE, Dr. Ramakumaran has focused on emergency medicine and acute care. She is experienced in managing a wide range of urgent situations including chest pain, irregular heartbeats, severe allergic reactions, shock, cardiac arrest, burns, and acute abdominal emergencies. She is skilled in wound care and suturing, fracture management, and stabilizing patients in high-pressure environments. She also manages common acute conditions like asthma attacks, severe dehydration, and fainting.

Dr. Ramakumaran holds Advanced Life Support and resuscitation certifications and is a member of the Indian Medical Association and Emirates Medical Association. She is well-suited for patients who need prompt, experienced handling of medical emergencies and acute illness.
