Dr. Mousa Al Kurdi

Dr. Mousa Al Kurdi is a Professor and Consultant Gynaecologist Oncologist and Endoscopist at Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, with over 40 years of clinical experience in women's health. He holds the FRCOG (Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) and trained at Damascus University, where he earned his medical degree in 1972, followed by specialist qualifications from the Royal College in London (MRCOG 1979, FRCOG 1991). Dr. Al Kurdi spent more than 30 years in the UK, primarily at Cambridge University, where he worked as a specialist, lecturer, and senior consultant, developing innovative surgical techniques and mentoring specialists across Europe and the Middle East.

His clinical expertise spans gynaecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, endometriosis surgery, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. He has pioneered fertility-preserving cancer surgery, advanced techniques for recurrent miscarriage (including rescue cervical cerclage), management of large fibroids and polyps without hysterectomy, and colposcopy for early cervical cancer detection. Dr. Al Kurdi has also developed innovations in infertility and cancer surgery, and is certified as a colposcopy trainer since 1980 and trainer for endoscopic surgery at the Royal Surrey University Hospital.

Dr. Al Kurdi advocates for evidence-based practice and reforming healthcare in the MENA region. He specialises in complex gynaecological emergencies, including life-threatening bleeding during childbirth. He is fluent in English and Arabic, and holds British and Syrian nationality.
