Dr. Mateen Uzbeck

Dr. Mateen Uzbeck is a Staff Physician in the Pulmonary Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. He brings 25 years of clinical experience, including a period as a Consultant Physician in Ireland's health service. He completed specialist training in Ireland and obtained a fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, one of the top cancer centers in the US.

Dr. Uzbeck has a special interest in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both benign and malignant lung and pleura diseases. He performs therapeutic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, pleuroscopy, and bronchial thermoplasty. He is experienced in managing conditions including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, lung nodules, pulmonary hypertension, and lung cancer, as well as sleep-related breathing disorders.

He has published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented research at international scientific meetings. Dr. Uzbeck is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
