Dr. Reham Helal Ammar

Dr. Reham Helal Ammar is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience in mental health care. She holds a PhD and Master's degree in mental health and has completed advanced training in evidence-based psychotherapy methods from prestigious institutes including the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Linehan Institute for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She is BECK Institute certified and trained in trauma-focused approaches including EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and somatic therapy.

Dr. Reham works with adults and adolescents, providing an integrative approach that combines cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. She treats a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, addiction, personality disorders, and adult ADHD. She also offers family and marital counselling, and has particular expertise in bariatric psychology and stress management.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Reham is active in research and professional leadership. She is the author of a book on breathing techniques and serves as one of the Arabic translators for the BODY-Q questionnaire, contributing to mental health assessment tools in Arabic-speaking regions. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Middle East Psychologist Association (MEPA) UAE Chapter.
