Dr. Kamalesh Pal

Dr. Kamalesh Pal is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Paediatric Urologist with over 18 years of experience across India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. He currently practises at Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai, and previously spent 9 years as a senior consultant at a leading private hospital in Dubai. He has held significant academic roles, including Head and Associate Professor of Paediatric Surgery at King Fahad Hospital of University (Imam Abdulrehman bin Faisal University, KSA) for 7 years, where he established minimally invasive neonatal and paediatric surgery services. Earlier in his career, he was Faculty and Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India, and developed an independent Paediatric Surgery unit there.

Dr. Pal has performed over 7,000 neonatal procedures and 15,000 paediatric surgical operations, covering birth defects, gastrointestinal disorders, liver and bile duct conditions, chest surgery, kidney and urinary problems, cancer-related surgery, and keyhole and robotic techniques. His particular expertise includes hypospadias repair (correction of abnormal urinary opening in boys), laparoscopic pyeloplasty (keyhole surgery for blocked kidney drainage), vesicoscopic ureteric reimplantation (bladder endoscopy for urine reflux), anorectal malformation (birth defect of the bowel opening), and Hirschsprung's disease (inherited bowel nerve condition).
