Dr. Sanam Nusrat

Dr. Sanam Nusrat is a general and breast surgery specialist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She completed her medical education in Pakistan and undertook advanced surgical training in China as a PhD Breast Surgery Trainee. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. She practices at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Dr. Sanam manages a wide range of breast conditions, from benign lumps and cysts to breast cancer, with a particular focus on oncoplastic techniques (surgery that combines cancer removal with reconstruction). She is experienced in both diagnostic and therapeutic breast procedures, as well as general surgical cases including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and treatment of anorectal conditions. Her approach emphasizes patient-centred care and evidence-based decision-making.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Sanam is actively involved in research and education. She serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, teaching medical students and interns. She is a core member of the Breast Unit at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre and participates in multidisciplinary tumour board meetings. She regularly attends international breast surgery courses to stay current with advanced techniques and global best practices.
