Dr. Ilavarasu Tamilmani

Dr. Ilavarasu Tamilmani is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with ten years of clinical experience across India and the UAE. He completed his Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery at Thanjavur Medical College in South India, followed by postgraduate orthopaedic training at two leading Indian institutes: Christian Medical College, Vellore, and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin. During his training at CMC Vellore, he was awarded the prestigious AJ Selvapandian Gold Medal in Orthopaedic Surgery and has presented research papers at national and regional orthopaedic conferences. He furthered his expertise through fellowship training in sports injuries and hip and knee joint replacement at Lakeshore Hospital in India and San Matteo Polyclinic in Italy.

Dr. Tamilmani moved to the UAE in 2014 and worked as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at a JCI-accredited hospital in Abu Dhabi before joining Burjeel Farha in Al Ain in 2018. His clinical expertise spans arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow, as well as hip and knee joint replacement.
