Dr. Mohammed Shaheer is a UK-trained consultant gastroenterologist with over 20 years of international clinical experience across the United Kingdom, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India. He completed specialist gastroenterology training in the UK and holds prestigious qualifications including FRCP (UK), MRCP (UK), CESR (UK, 2024), and ESEGH accreditation. He is registered as a specialist with the UK's General Medical Council. Before joining Medeor Hospital in Dubai, Dr. Shaheer worked as a consultant gastroenterologist across multiple NHS Health Boards in the UK, where he developed extensive expertise in advanced gastroenterology, hepatology, and complex endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Shaheer specializes in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with particular focus on advanced procedures including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), cholangioscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound. He manages complex gastrointestinal bleeding, performs advanced polyp removal, places feeding tubes (PEG), dilates strictures, performs capsule endoscopy, places stents using fluoroscopy guidance, performs liver biopsies, measures liver pressure (HVPG), and places gastric balloons.
