About Dr. Hanan Abed
Dr. Hanan Abed is an experienced anaesthetist with over 22 years in the field. She began her career as a resident at the National Heart Institute in Cairo in 1999, then worked across the Middle East—at Prince Sultan Cardiac Center, SAAD Specialty Hospital in Al Khobar, and IMC in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2004–2009)—before moving to the UAE, where she spent 11 years at NMC Al Ain. She now practises at Mediclinic Al Ain.
Dr. Hanan's expertise spans all types of anaesthesia: general anaesthesia for bariatric, orthopaedic, laparoscopic, and urological surgery; cardiac anaesthesia for open-heart operations and catheter procedures; spinal and epidural blocks; regional anaesthesia; nerve blocks; and pain management. She is also experienced in paediatric anaesthesia and critical-care anaesthesia for surgical patients.
