Professor Ahmed Mostafa is a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, and a Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Ain Shams University in Cairo. He has performed over 700 major tracheal and airway reconstructive surgeries, representing the largest single-surgeon series in the Arab world. His work spans airway reconstruction (including tracheal resection and laryngotracheal reconstruction), minimally invasive keyhole chest surgery (VATS), lung cancer resection, chest-wall deformity repair, and ECMO-supported complex procedures.
Professor Mostafa is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (London) and member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is committed to training the next generation of surgeons and continues to balance clinical practice in Dubai with academic leadership in Egypt, bridging international expertise to advance thoracic surgery in the region.
