Dr. Mohammed Basheeruddin

Dr. Mohammed Basheeruddin is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 11 years of specialized experience in cancer surgery. He holds an M.B.B.S. from Sree Siddhartha Medical College, an M.S. in General Surgery from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and an M.Ch. in Surgical Oncology from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences. He completed advanced fellowship training in Robotic Surgical Oncology at Manipal Hospital under the Vattikuti Foundation and has held consultant and teaching positions across leading hospitals in India and the UAE.

Dr. Basheeruddin's expertise covers a broad range of cancer types and surgical approaches. He specializes in head and neck cancers, oral cavity tumours, thyroid and parathyroid cancers, breast cancer surgery, lung cancers, esophageal cancers, gastrointestinal and gynecological malignancies, and lymphoma. He is particularly skilled in robotic-assisted and laparoscopic techniques, cytoreductive surgery (debulking), hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy (PIPAC), and can insert chemotherapy ports to support treatment.
