Dr. Sheila Labrador Illescas

Dr. Sheila Labrador is an obstetrics and gynaecology consultant with over 20 years of experience managing pregnancies and women's health. She completed her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery in 1995 and finished her OB/GYN residency training at UST Hospital in 2000. Since 2001, she has run a private practice across major hospitals in Metro Manila, Philippines, and now practises at Mediclinic Dubai.

Dr. Labrador specialises in routine antenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, and detailed prenatal ultrasound scanning. She is particularly skilled in 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound imaging, nuchal translucency scans (screening for genetic conditions), comprehensive scans for birth defects, and Doppler studies to assess blood flow in pregnancy. Beyond maternity care, she manages gynaecological conditions including irregular periods, infections, contraception, preconception counselling, fertility issues, menopause, and general women's wellness.

Dr. Labrador is a fellow of both the Philippine Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Philippine Society of OB/GYN Ultrasound, and a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She trained internationally in fetal brain ultrasound in Berlin, fetal heart imaging and birth defect scanning in India, and advanced 3D/4D ultrasound in Austria. She pioneered the first mall-based one-stop prenatal clinic in the Philippines, combining comprehensive scanning with family bonding experiences.
