Dr. Jason Chin

Dr. Jason Chin is a Staff Physician in the Vascular Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He trained in integrated vascular surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital and earned his medical degree from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. With 14 years of experience, he brings expertise in both complex open and minimally invasive vascular procedures.

Dr. Chin treats the full spectrum of vascular disease, including aortic aneurysm repair (both traditional open surgery and catheter-based approaches), carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis, and diabetic foot complications. He specializes in limb-salvage procedures, dialysis access creation and maintenance, and graft infections. At his previous role with MedStar Health in Baltimore, he founded and led the regional Pulmonary Embolism Response Team, developing new treatment systems for this life-threatening condition, and established an advanced practice in IVC filter retrieval and endovenous reconstruction.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Chin maintains a strong interest in surgical device innovation. His research on vascular access devices has led to multiple patents, grant funding, and co-founding of a medical device company. He has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and presents his work at national conferences. He is also involved in teaching vascular surgery residents.
