Dr. Anu Mathew

Dr. Anu Mathew is a DHA-licensed clinical psychologist practising at Mediclinic Dubai. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Psychotherapy and Counselling, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and is currently pursuing her PhD. Throughout her career, she has worked across mental hospitals, multispecialty hospitals, and psychotherapy centres in both the UAE and India, building extensive experience in psychological assessment and treatment.

Dr. Mathew's focus is on evaluating, assessing, and treating children and adolescents with emotional, learning, developmental, and behavioural difficulties, including academic struggles, attention issues, relationship problems, and addiction. She also provides counselling and therapy for adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns. Her assessment services cover learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, developmental disorders, intellectual difficulties, personality disorders, and mood disorders, as well as specialized evaluations for bariatric patients before and after surgery.

She delivers individual, group, couples, and family therapy tailored to each person's needs. Dr. Mathew is also experienced in supporting people with chronic health conditions, cancer-related emotional distress, and life transitions such as divorce. Beyond clinical work, she has conducted training and educational sessions on mental health for organisations and schools across the UAE.
