Dr. Kamal Al Abdi

Dr. Kamal Al Abdi is a cardiologist with over 14 years of experience in Abu Dhabi, specializing in interventional cardiology—minimally invasive treatment of heart conditions using catheter-based techniques. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vienna, Austria, and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine and interventional cardiology. Early in his career, he spent 10 years working in one of Vienna's busiest cardiac catheterization labs, where he performed numerous procedures for patients with severe coronary artery disease.

Dr. Al Abdi's clinical focus is on complex heart conditions, particularly coronary artery disease and acute heart attacks (STEMI). He has extensive experience managing the full spectrum of cardiovascular diseases and is skilled in advanced interventional procedures. He previously led the Cardiology Department at Al Ain Hospital (2010–2015), where he established a 24/7 acute intervention service for heart attack patients, upgraded the coronary care unit and non-invasive cardiac labs, and secured JCI accreditation.

He is well-suited for patients needing advanced cardiac interventions, complex coronary procedures, or management of acute heart conditions. His bilingual practice (Arabic and English, with German proficiency) serves the diverse Abu Dhabi population.
