Dr. Ishrat Khan

Dr. Ishrat Khan is a UK-trained Consultant Endocrinologist and Internal Medicine specialist at King's College Hospital London in Dubai. She holds dual Certificates of Completion of Training (CCT) in Endocrinology & Diabetes and Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr. Khan trained across multiple renowned UK hospitals including University Hospital of Wales, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

She provides comprehensive care for diabetes in teenagers and adults (Type 1 and Type 2, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors), complex diabetes complications, pituitary and thyroid disorders, adrenal conditions, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), reproductive and gynaecological endocrinology, pregnancy-related diabetes and hormonal disorders, obesity management, calcium and bone disorders, and resistant high blood pressure. She uses an evidence-based approach and takes time to ensure patients fully understand their condition and treatment options.

Dr. Khan is passionate about teaching and clinical research. She is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of South Wales, supervising postgraduate students in diabetes, endocrinology, and acute medicine, and holds regular exam preparation courses for MRCP candidates. She has been a regular abstract reviewer for the Endocrine Society USA since 2015 and has published several articles in diabetes and endocrinology journals.
