Dr. Shaima Lari

Dr. Shaima Lari is an Occupational Medicine Consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, and the first Emirati female to reach consultant level in her specialty. She holds an MBBS from Dubai Medical College, a Family Medicine residency from Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, and a Fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine from the University of Toronto. With 12 years of clinical experience, she brings expertise in workplace health assessment, occupational disease evaluation, and independent medical examination.

Dr. Lari specializes in assessing whether workers are fit to return to their jobs after illness or injury, rating the extent of work-related disability, analyzing workplace toxicology hazards, and designing occupational health and safety programs. She is certified by the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, and serves as Adjunct Faculty at Khalifa University's College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
