Dr. Calaweez Othman

Dr. Calaweez Othman is a Consultant in Family Medicine at Medcare Medical Centre, Meadows branch in Dubai. She is UK Board-certified with over 13 years of clinical experience and holds membership with the General Medical Council (GMC) and the British Medical Association (BMA). She trained through the NHS in the UK, progressing from Junior Training Doctor to Consultant, and has worked across multiple hospitals in London and other English regions including Watford, Northampton, Doncaster, Stevenage, Southend, Debenham, and Ipswich. Before joining Medcare, she worked briefly as a Family Medicine Consultant at the American Hospital.

Dr. Othman's clinical practice is broad and spans both medical and surgical areas. She manages general illnesses, ear-nose-throat diseases, skin conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, common eye problems (such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis), metabolic disorders including high blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid conditions, and respiratory diseases. She has substantial experience with mental health and psychiatric problems, provides both routine and urgent primary healthcare, conducts health checks and screening, and practices paediatric medicine. She is also experienced in palliative care and preventive medicine.

Dr. Othman is known for building strong rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about patient education and medical awareness; she has taught medical students at Cambridge University and delivered postgraduate courses in London. She speaks English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
